European Formula 3 heads to the city centre streets of the historic Pau Grand Prix, in South-western France this weekend for round 3 of the championship; and with it goes Formula E…
Two of Formula E’s Spark-Renault SRT_01E electric race cars will take to the circuit on Saturday and Sunday to perform a number of demonstration runs. They are to be in the hands of Formula E’s very own Jerome D’Ambrosio, as well as French drivers Mike Parisy of the FIA GT1 World Championship, and current Formula 3 champion Esteban Ocon.
The driver line-up and timetable is as follows:
Saturday, 16 May:
15:00: Mike Parisy & Jerome D’Ambrosio
20:00: Jerome D’Ambrosio & Esteban Ocon
Sunday, 17 May:
12:00: Esteban Ocon & Jerome D’Ambrosio
14:05: Esteban Ocon & Mike Parisy
France was missing from the inaugural round of the FIA Formula E Championship, however with more than 180 cities having approached the series interested in hosting an event, it likely won’t be long before the country gets considered for a race of it’s own.
